Minions: The Rise of Gru

If you were obsessed with the previous minions series, you’d want to watch Minions: The Rise of Gru! Discover the origins of Gru (played by Oscar nominee Steve Carell) before he became the master of evil. Set in the 1970s, 12-year-old Gru was a fanboy of a supervillain supergroup known as the Vicious 6. There he sets up a plan to become evil enough to join them – which doesn’t go well – until he meets the Minions! Together with Kevin, Stuart, Bob and Otto, they built their first lair, designed their first weapons and strived to execute their first missions.

Led by the franchise’s original creators, Minions: The Rise of Gru is produced by founder and CEO, Chris Meledandri and his longtime collaborators Janet Healy and Chris Renaud, directed by returning franchise filmmaker Kyle Balda (Despicable Me 3, Minions), co-directed by Brad Ableson (The Simpsons) together with Jonathan del Val (The Secret Life of Pets films), and features the iconic voice of Pierre Coffin as the Minions. It also has a killer ’70s soundtrack courtesy of legendary Grammy-winning music producer Jack Antonoff.

Thor: Love And Thunder

This is one of the most anticipated in the Marvel Universe! ICYMI, a new teaser was released at the MTV Movie & TV Awards that showed fans a glimpse of the movie. The short 23-second clip shows Thor (played by Chris Hemsworth) in a crowd, reunited with his old hammer Mjolnir. He then calls out for Mjolnir, hoping to get it. In a twist moment, the mighty hammer moves away from the God of Thunder and falls into the hands of Jane Foster, his old love!

So how did Jane Foster become the Goddess of Thunder? This dates back to the Original Sin, where Nick Fury whispered something he had found out from the Watcher in Thor’s ear. As a result, Thor becomes “unworthy” to lift the hammer. Jane Foster was then called upon to be the next worthy “goddess” for Mjolnir, as the Frost Giants unleashed a ferocious attack on Earth. Jane Foster, who is diagnosed with breast cancer, fulfills her responsibility as the new Thor, but her powers have come with a terrible price. As it turns out, every time she transforms into the Mighty Thor and back again to human form, the energy exchange undoes all of the progress made in treating her breast cancer.

Directed by Taika Waititi, watch as Thor gets help from Valkyrie, Korg and his ex-girlfriend, Jane Foster (played by Natalie Portman) to fight against Gorr, the God Butcher, who looks to make the gods extinct.

The Doll 3

Into horror movies? Dim the lights and watch The Doll 3! It tells the story of Tara, who was left alone after her brother, Gian, took his own life as he was devastated by the death of their parents caused by an accident. Tara then seeked help from a dukun with hopes that Gian’s spirit can be channeled to live in a doll. The spell worked and Tara is thrilled to get her brother back, she can now finally proceed with her engagement to Aryan and to be a stepmom to Mikha. However, Gian has other plans. He looks to kill off Aryan and Mikha so he can have Tara for himself, forever!
