Little Sunshine
Little Sunshine is a Malaysian local production. The storyline expands along the growth of a mischievous young boy, Xiao Pang. To the chagrin of his parents, he has no interest in studying and is always eating. His mother arranges extra tuition classes for him to try to whip him into shape, but the stress leaves him despondent and depressed instead. At the end of their wits, his parents promise him a mobile phone if he does well in his exams. He works hard and earns the phone, but a new problem then crops up, phone addiction. Xiao Pang’s parents call renowned child psychologist, Dr Ko, for help. But as they are about to leave for their appointment, they realize that Xiao Pang has gone missing. This comedy reflects the actual challenge of a growing teenager in Malaysia and presents family conflicts in a comedic way to ease the stress in reality.

The King of Musang King
The King of Musang King is a movie under collaboration between Singapore and Malaysia. It tells stories about a family who earn their living depending on their durian orchard during the pandemic. Mei Lan tries her very best to sustain the durian plantation left to her by her late father while she single-handedly raises her three children after getting dumped by her husband, Jin Shui, for a Vietnam lady. Mei Lan wants to pass down the business to her children but there are tensions especially when her youngest son does not share her vision. All this while, she develops feelings for her childhood friend, Mao Shan, who has been secretly admiring her through the years. Unexpectedly, Jin Shui returns to the durian plantation after 20 years when he realizes that his Vietnamese love interest was only after his money, jeopardizing Mei Lian and Mao Shan`s relationship. It is a comedy portraying conflicts between families and how they overcome it by unity and love.

What! The Heist is another Chinese New Year movie produced with the collaboration between Malaysia and Singapore artists. It is a story about lottery culture in Malaysia and Singapore. A criminal nicknamed “Godfather” breaks out of jail to complete a mission given to him by his boss, titled “Lottery Heist”. After recruiting an unsuspecting actor desperate for money to help his sick daughter, they begin to execute their grand plan. The plan involves swapping out lotto balls to win the jackpot, a prize worth $100 million. As they work through things step-by-step, it soon comes to light that Godfather’s boss plans to kill everyone involved after the mission is completed. Godfather and his new recruit now have to plot to save their lives and keep the money for themselves.
