Elliot, played by Brendan Fraser, is a geeky, socially-awkward man working a dead-end job in a San Francisco computer company. In a desperate need to seek the attention of a co-worker whom he has fallen in love with, he strikes a deal with a drop dead bombshell Devil, played by Elizabeth Hurley. Seeing him in a sad state, the Devil grants him seven wishes in exchange for his soul.
